West Florida Electric Cooperative (WFEC) restored power to the area south of Bonifay experiencing an unplanned outage this morning by 8:30 a.m. The outage was caused by extremely heavy loading due to the colder than normal temperatures this morning.

The outage scheduled for this afternoon will still take place as planned from 12:30 PM until 4:00 PM.  WFEC apologizes for any inconvenience this outage may cause, but it is necessary to enhance service and reliability to lines and equipment in the area.
