Nichols to represent West Florida EC on PowerSouth Board

Ellis Nichols of Clarksville, Fla., has been elected to represent West Florida Electric Cooperative (WFEC) on the PowerSouth Board of Trustees. Nichols’s appointment to the board was approved at PowerSouth’s May 23 board meeting. Nichols replaces John Worthington and will serve on the Marketing and Economic Development Committee.

During his time at WFEC, Nichols served as Chairman of the Member Service Committee, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Vice President of the Board. He is currently Chairman of the WFEC Board. Nichols attained his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and is a retired teacher and football coach. He is currently President of Woodmen of the World and serves as a training officer with the Clarksville Volunteer Fire Department.

He is married to Betty Nichols and has five children, Bart, Terry, Sandy, Claudia and Gina. In his free time, Nichols enjoys hunting, fishing, sawmilling and cattle farming.
