West Florida Electric Cooperative (WFEC) is currently experiencing an unplanned outage in the Bonifay area. This outage is on the same circuit that is scheduled to be taken off line today at 12:30 PM. The outage was caused by extremely heavy loading due to the cold weather.

WFEC crews are working diligently to restore service as quickly as possible. The planned outage scheduled for this afternoon will still take place as planned from 12:30 PM until 4:00 PM.  WFEC apologizes for any inconvenience this outage may cause, but it is necessary to enhance service and reliability to lines and equipment in the area.
