Worthington recognized for service on PowerSouth board

Retiring trustees were recognized during PowerSouth Energy Cooperative’s annual meeting for their dedication and service to PowerSouth and to electric cooperative members across Alabama and northwest Florida.

John Worthington of West Florida Electric Cooperative was recognized for his service from 2000-2008. He served on the Nominating Committee, Engineering and Operations Committee, Finance and Audit Committee and Marketing and Economic Development Committee. He was also a Florida Electric Cooperative Association (FECA) alternate voting delegate.

“It has been a pleasure to be a part of a growing organization,” Worthington said. “Serving on the PowerSouth board has been both a rewarding and an educational experience for me. I wish the company continued success.”

PowerSouth Energy Cooperative is a $1.3 billion generation and transmission cooperative that serves the wholesale energy needs of 16 electric cooperatives and four municipal electric systems in Alabama and northwest Florida.
